Rosemary does a good job at repelling spiders and it grows very well in small pots.  I recommend to keep pots of rosemary near your windows and make sure the soil is well drained as these plants do not do well when sitting in wet soil.

3. Basil

A Basil plant will keep insects including spiders away because they hate the smell of the plant.  You can also use the basil leafs to make a repellent spray.

4. Lavender

Lavender does a good job of repelling spiders because they do not like the smell of it.  Lavender plants can also spread quite quick and will spread lavender scent when the wind blows through it.

This plant requires a lot of sun to grow and should also be kept outside because it is a bog plant and can spread quick quickly.
